SkillsDMC is the national Industry Skills Council responsible for the development and continuous improvement of the Resources and Infrastructure national competency recognition system and Training Packages.
Through our unique position and industry support, SkillsDMC is well place to consult with industry stakeholders, governments, state agencies and other organisations to produce the three endorsed components (units of competency, assessment guidelines and qualifications structure) of Training Packages. This national competency recognition system enables both individuals and enterprises to satisfy their own career aspirations and business goals.
To ensure the contents of the Training Packages continue to reflect industry needs, SkillsDMC maintains an on-line Issues Register as part of our industry engagement strategy. All stakeholders are provided with the opportunity to register as members on our website and provide details of experiences with the Training Package and suggest areas where the Training Packages could be improved.
All suggestions should be directed towards the RII09 Resources and Infrastructure Industry Training Package as all previously endorsed Training Packages have been superseded by the RII09 Training Package.
To raise the quality of delivery of the RII09 Training Package, SkillsDMC has developed a range of products to plan, organise and implement the competency based system of workforce development. These include instructional resource materials, assessment tools, information kits and posters.
